WWJD: What Would Junmar Do?

It was in the 90s that the acronym WWJD became a hit. I'm referring to the famous Evangelical Christian slogan: "What Would Jesus Do?".

And why on earth am I sounding too preachy when all stuffs here are supposed to be about sports (well, in some cases I could talk about laundry soap, the best diaper-pants and anything domestic-related).

Well, siya din naman kasi nag-umpisa eh.

Now back to the ball game.

For now, I would like to borrow the famous acronym, and with no intentions to disrespect whatsoever, I have supplanted and tweaked it a little.

Now, What Would Junmar, really Do?

Eh sa injured siya eh.

Why can't he simply convince Gilas fans? How bad was his plantar fasciitis? Or how terrible a salesman he is that he can't sell the cheapest item to millions of crazy Pinoy hoops fans?

Here's just a few of the ever-growing adverse social media reactions (c/o @GilasFans on Twitter)

If I were Junmar, I wouldn't dare open these social media sites. Never in my wildest dreams. I would shy away from reading sports news websites. Or maybe because he did. It was reported couple of weeks back that he's supposedly out of shape. But in the next press releases, we somehow saw a bit leaner JMF. Not Blatche—I mean, fat!

Malamang napupuyat.

What Would Junmar Do?

It's done. Ano pa ba.

Sabi niya next time nalang daw uli siya sasali sa Gilas (Read: Pag totoong pinayagan na talaga siyang sumali nung mga powers-that-be).

Interview with the Lobo

It's an historic game 7.
And almost every party involved were asked for a word or two.
They were saying bonuses not as important as the prestige of coming back from a 0-3 quagmire.
The other team saying they've never been motivated to finish off what they have started.
But one thing for sure is left in the dark. Literally all by their lonesome at the rafters.

Easy, Easy.

I'm not sure a lot would remember Lionel Richie's classic song Easy and its opening line:

Know it sounds funny
But I just can't stand the pain...

Mang-asar at sabihing mali sila. Tanga si Coach Tab at tinanggal si Abueva. Sana hindi tayo yung first game kahapon. Sana nagpahiram yung ibang team noong Fiba Asia nung nakaraang taon. (Teka, anong linya 'to?)
